TR - Deveran, prizmaya vuran beyaz ışığın renklere ayrılması gibi, merkezdeki beyaz semazenin eteğinden dönüşle etrafa saçılan motifleri, desenleri resmettiğim bir eser. Anadolu'nun el attığı sanatta, zanaatta hep zirveye çıkması, tasavvufun, sevmenin binbir yolunu bulması gibi formlar arasında arayışlara çıktığım bir iş.
EN - Like white light splitting into a spectrum of colours as it passes through a prism, this work depicts the motifs and patterns radiating outward from the skirt of a white-robed whirling dervish at its centre, carried into the surrounding space by his turning motion.Inspired by Anatolia’s enduring ability to reach the highest levels of art and craftsmanship, and by Sufism’s countless paths to love, Deveran is a journey of exploration through forms, seeking new expressions within an ancient cultural heritage.
