This rug & carpet decor art piece is the second in Mustafa Daşdemir’s exploration of transforming traditional carpets into contemporary spaces. Each rug, woven with millennia of cultural and artisanal heritage, retains its unique patterns, motifs, and colors while being reimagined for a modern context. In Another Dimension, the original borders, corner motifs, and fringes are preserved, while a mirror is integrated into the design. This allows viewers to see themselves within the traditional patterns, creating a dialogue between past and present. The mirror reflects the immediacy of the now, while the frame evokes a journey through history, turning the carpet’s cultural legacy into a refined, immersive experience.
